Better conversations

by Jay

Want to build better customer relationships?

Start with better conversations.

…and there’s one quick and easy way to have better conversations:

Demonstrate that you are curious.

What do i mean?

Often the value of a conversation is just that.. the conversation.

Everyone wants to have the answers. Especially if you want to show the customer value and help them solve a problem quickly.

But remember, it’s not just about the current issue at hand, and it’s not about you, it’s about the customer’s perception of you.

We need to build trust.

So, instead of jumping straight to answers, stay curious just a little bit longer and ask a couple more thoughtful questions.

Demonstrate that you understand.

Prove you’re listening.

By asking questions.

Even if you think you know the fastest route to a solution, why not take it a little slower and build trust along the way?

What other ways do you improve the quality of your customer conversations?
